Joyce was such a lovely lady; very kind and always happy. I have many fond memories of her and my thoughts are with Jack, Debi, Graham and all of the family xxx

Joyce was like a grandma to me and Sam, always treated us like kings when we stayed over, letting us go into the pantry to get all the sweets and biscuits we could eat! She was never without a smile on her face and we will remember that forever, lots of love Sam and Toby xx

My memories of Auntie Joyce, who was never without a smile, are happy and warm. I loved our visits to Liverpool where we would eat Uncle Jack’s mince pies while sitting by the fire. Jack and Joyce treated Charlie and I like we were her own grandchildren and I will always remember her as loving and kind. Love Sophie xxx

To dearest Joyce, The kindest, gentlest woman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and who I am sincerely proud to call my Auntie and sister to my dad, Harry. Although our paths may not have crossed very often, you left a lasting impression on me that will always stay with me and I will never forget. Everyone who knew mum would say how kind, gentle, caring and unselfish she was. She could be indecisive too, but this was only because she didn’t want to put others out. Her Mavis Moments! I have spent more time with mum over the last 6 months than I have in a long time and it has been an absolute privilege to do this. I have seen her cope with losing her sight with such bravery and humility. She touched the hearts of medical staff at her numerous appointments with her friendliness and kindness. I’ll always miss my lovely mum and wish I could be a selfless as she was

A gentle, kind and thoughtful Auntie who I used to love just talking to her about the past - the 60s in Liverpool, the cavern club etc. And looking forward to her annual Sept visit to Hampshire where we could cater for her and Jack for the weekend (paying back for all that Penketh hospitality!). Always did a walk when they were staying and I remember one where we’d over estimated their fitness levels and Jack had to push Joyce all the way up a steep hill!
